In this Quantitative History Webinar, Nicolas Tackett of UC Berkeley will describe important prosopographic databases available to Tang and Song historians, suggesting some of their uses and limitations. Nicolas Tackett will pay particular attention to what these databases reveal about the very different structures of the Tang and Song political elites, not to mention the very different structures of the Tang and Song states.
