Learning Beyond Scores and Credits
所謂「知識改變命運」,但「改變命運」的目標,究竟是搵份有前途的好工、還是成為「有教養的人」?港大校訓「明德格物」,寓意大學師生要發揚人與生俱來的德性,學習明辨事物的本質,最終實踐道德的生活。系列第一節將探討計分和評級以外的教與學,當爭取成績表現的壓力愈來愈大,同學會否關心分數多於知識?而不帶學分的活動與課程在這制度下又有何角色? It is said that 'knowledge can change one's destiny', but does 'destiny' refer to getting a good job or simply being an educated person? In this talk, teaching and learning outside the formal curriculum and the role of non-credit bearing programme will be discussed.
