Public lecture and Elite Seminar on “Urban Resurgence: the Making of Inequality in Global Cities”

It is the first seminar in the MAChDS Elite Seminar Series 2017-18. The speaker, Prof. John Rennie Short is an urban and political geographer and Professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland (UMBC). His research explores cities, history of cartography and geopolitics. This seminar will focuses on the role of liquid capital, the revalorization of time and space, urban megaprojects across global cities.
